Credentials & Compliance

Professional lifting is regulated work. This page sets out the accreditations, certifications and operating standards behind every AC Lifting job.

Accreditations

  • ALLMI member — Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers. Our operators are ALLMI-trained.

Operator training

All lifting operations are carried out by ALLMI-trained operators. Operator tickets are current and held on file; copies available on request for site inductions.

Equipment — LOLER

All cranes and lifting accessories (chains, slings, shackles, lifting eyes, spreader bars) are subject to thorough examinations under LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998). Certificates are on record and available on request.

Insurance

  • Public liability
  • Employer’s liability
  • Goods in transit
  • Motor

Certificates available on request.

Contract lifts

For managed lifts requiring full planning oversight, we deliver contract lifts under BS 7121 with method statement, risk assessment and Appointed Person (AP) control. This is the option when the site requires AC Lifting to take responsibility for the lifting operation end to end.

CPA vs contract lift

Two different commercial structures, often confused:

  • CPA hire — you hire the HIAB and operator; you’re responsible for the lift planning, supervision and risk.
  • Contract lift — we plan and supervise the lift; we own the risk and responsibility within the agreed scope.

If you’re not sure which one your job needs, ask and we’ll walk you through it.
